I’m not a huge Cadel fan but man did he ever keep me on the edge of my seat from 1:20-1:30 am this morning!  I could even hear whoop, hollers and cheers in my apartment building as everyone in Australia seemed to be up watching.  What a win!

Also, hats off to Gerro for pulling up 10th place and being a major part in helping Cadel with the win.  I just hope that Cadel remembers his media training before the interviews start and says the right things to his Aussie teammates.   He certainly forgot PRO rule #1 – the Victory Salute!

The World Champs are now one year away in Geelong which is right next to Melbourne for those who aren’t familiar.   I’m not sure if  we’ll get the picturesque views in Geelong like we did today in Switzerland, but it’s gonna be much better watching it in person (unless the wind and rain from today repeats itself).

What a week that will be.  Footy Grand Finals will finish on Sat, Sept 25 and then the World Champs will start on Tues, Sept 28 – Oct. 3.   If there’s one time you want to visit Australia folks, this will be the time. Bring your bike and I’ll show you some good rides as well.

It’s 2am and I’m tired so please forgive my ordinary post.  I didn’t think it would be right for me not to give Cadel’s spectacular win some attention and this is the best I can do right now.  Good night!
