From Monday, February 25th to Sunday, March 3rd, CyclingTips and Strava are challenging you to lay down a 15 hour week (or more) on the bike. For cyclists in Australia, this is your chance to spice up the February lull. For the rest of the world, this is your chance to get some base miles in before your season begins.

Fifteen hours in a week might sound like a lot, but it’s doable. All it takes is 1-2 hours per day from Monday to Friday and a couple of long rides on the weekend. Easy, right? Or you could just do a massive ride on Saturday. Whatever you fancy.

But wait, there’s more … we’ve also added a group element to the FebFifteen Strava Challenge.

CyclingTips will add up all the hours ridden by Australians and compare that with the hours logged by riders from elsewhere in the world that sign up for the Challenge. What does the winner get? For Australians, eternal Strava bragging rights. For the rest of the world, the chance to take the piss out of Australia. It’s Australia versus the world!

Even though it feels like summer is slowly fading in Australia, the weather is still sensational and it’s easy to get out for a ride in the mornings. However, this probably isn’t the case in most other places in the cycling world and that’s what might make this Challenge fair.

We want to see your photos and hear your stories. When posting tweets or taking ride photos with Instagram, make sure to use the hashtag #FebFifteen and we’ll use the best ones for writing our post-challenge roundup.

JOIN THE FEBFIFTEEN CHALLENGE HERE. It starts this Monday, Feb 25 (local time wherever you are).
