Australian Nettie Edmondson (Wiggle Honda) is on daily diary duty for Ella CyclingTips out of the Boels Rental Ladies Tour. The six-day stage race in Holland is Edmondson’s final bit of road racing of the season, and serves as important preparation for the team time trial at the 2015 Road World Championships in 16 days (not that we’re counting!). Racing alongside the teammates that she will race with in the team time trial in Richmond, minus Audrey Cordon who crashed out on stage three, Edmondson hopes to come out of the Dutch race unscathed and fitter than she was at the start.

The fifth stage of the Boels Rental Ladies Tour was perhaps the most action-packed with countless attacks over the rainy roads. Despite the endless aggression, the race was back together before the finish and the reduced bunch readied for a bunch sprint. Lisa Brennauer (Velocio-SRAM) moved into the race lead following the stage four individual time trial and further extended her lead on Saturday winning the bunch kick into Gennep.

We took a slightly different approach to today’s diary, as you can see with the video above. Our friend Felix Mattis caught up with Edmondson at the Wiggle Honda camper van following today’s finish and asked her our usual set of questions. We’ll be back to our typical format with Sunday’s final stage. For now – we hope you enjoy something a bit different.
