This week’s podcast digs into USADA’s effort to catch amateur dopers, the presence of cyclocross stars at Paris-Roubaix, makes a few predictions for the upcoming cyclocross world championships, and features the first installment of Nerd Alert with CT Tech Editor James Huang.

Three American amateur racers were suspended for doping, or avoiding anti-doping tests, in the last week. What’s going on? A program called RaceClean seems to be working. But should we be testing amateurs at all? Is it a waste of money?

Cyclocross world champion Wout Van Aert is going to race Paris-Roubaix. Can the ‘cross star compete? Zdenek Stybar, another cyclocross star, was 6th in his first run at Roubaix. But his situation was slightly different.

In this week’s Nerd Alert, James and Caley Fretz discuss a recent trip to the Outdoor Retailer tradeshow.

Then, we take issue with a tweet from Outside Magazine, and Caley rants about it a bit. Okay, he rants about it a lot.

Finally, a look at the cyclocross world championships with Neal Rogers and Anne-Marije Rook and then a chat with mountain biker Kate Courtney.
