Armstrong rockets to prologue win
Lance Armstrong went like a rocket Saturday to win the opening prologueof the 2002 Tour de France and pick up exactly where he left off in Parislast summer. The three-time defending champion roared over the twisting, technicallydifficult 7.3-km course in downtown Luxembourg, edging Frenchman LaurentJalabert (CSC-Tiscali) by two seconds to win his 12th career Tour stage(prologues, time trials and road stages) and take the first yellow jerseyof the 89th Tour. “I was lucky.
