Zinoviev dies in OhioAlexandre "Sasha" Zinoviev, a captain of the Soviet team that won the world team time trial championship in 1983 and 1985, died at a Cincinnati hospital Monday of gastric cancer, his family said. He was 43. Zinoviev, who turned pro and raced on the Alfa Lum squad in the late 1980s, also coached the Soviet national team in 1990. He retired completely from the sport in 1992.
