Alison Powers (UnitedHealthcare) and Luis Amaran (Jamis-Sutter Home) won the Downtown Silver City Criterium at the Silver City Tour of the Gila on Saturday.
Powers soloed in for the win in stage 4, seven seconds ahead of Carmen Small (DNA Cycling-K4) with Joanne Kiesanowski (Tibco-To the Top) third.
Amaran took the men’s crit from Bjorn Selander (Optum-Kelly Benefit Strategies) and Benjamin Day (UnitedHealthcare) after the trio, with Zach Bell (Team SmartStop), lapped the field. Bell hit the deck with two laps to go, reportedly collecting a broken collarbone for his troubles.
