Wiggle – High5’s Amy Pieters sprinted to victory Wednesday in the women’s edition of Dwars door Vlaanderen in Belgium. Her teammate, Belgian champion Jolien D’hoore was second ahead of Eileen Roe.

The day’s route was 101.4 kilometers and included climbs of the Oude Kwaremont, the Paterberg, and four other hellingen.

Ten riders broke away on the Kwaremont, in the rain, and soon they were joined by one more rider, after climbing the Paterberg.

Inside of the final two kilometers, the remainder of the peloton caught the leaders, and Pieters played the sprint perfectly to claim the win.
