Filippo Pozzato (Lampre-Merida) timed his kick perfectly, slipping up the right side of the bunch in the final meters to win the GP Ouest France-Plouay on Sunday.

Giacomo Nizzolo (RadioShack-Leopard) took second in the 243km race with Samuel Dumoulin (Ag2r La Mondiale) third.

The race boiled down to a bunch sprint after an attacking finale on a tough course. BMC Racing ruled the roost on the final lap, and their Greg Van Avermaet took a slight lead going into the final kilometer, but it wouldn’t be enough to hold off the charging peloton.
