VALKENBURG, Netherlands (AFP) — Slovenian Matej Mohoric ended a run of two successive French champions by winning the world men’s junior road race title here on Sunday.

The 17-year-old — who won silver in the time trial on Monday — beat home Australian Caleb Ewan. Croatian Josep Rumac took the bronze medal at the end of the 129km race that took in eight laps around Valkenburg.
