Sven Nys snatched the Superprestige trophy from Niels Albert in the last round at Middelkerke.

Tom Meeusen (Telenet-Fidea) won the finale ahead of Kevin Pauwels (Sunweb-Napoleon Games). But Nys (Crelan-AA Drink) slipped in front of Lars van der Haar (Rabobank) to take third on the day.

And Albert (BKCP-Powerplus), who started slowly but seemed to find his legs as the race ground on, could manage only seventh at the finish — leaving him tied on points with Nys at 101 apiece, but out of the series lead and into second overall.

Meeusen rose to third overall in the Superprestige series with 84 points.
