PELOTON MAGAZINE WINS 3-YEAR DEAL TO PUBLISH OFFICIAL FLANDERS CLASSICS GUIDE
Ojai, CA – Adding to the success of publishing the Official Tour de France Guide, Peloton magazine has been awarded a three-year deal by the Flanders Classics organization of Belgium to create the Official Flanders Classics Guide in North America for the 2020, 2021 and 2022 seasons. Featuring some of the most iconic one-day races in the world—Omloop Het Nieuwsblad, Ghent–Wevelgem in Flanders Fields, Dwars door Vlaanderen, Ronde van Vlaanderen, Scheldeprijs and De Brabantse Pijl—Peloton will produce and publish a collectible guide to accompany these races. The Guide will be available on newsstands in the U.S., in digital form globally and at VIP and specialty locations lining the racecourses of the Flanders Classics between February 29 and April 15.
Peloton publisher Brad Roe said: “We love Belgium and we are honored to be chosen by Flanders Classics to bring these iconic races to life. This guide will not only describe each race in detail but will also be filled with features on the culture, food, beer, history and art that defines modern Belgian life.” Peloton magazine’s advertising director Adam Reek added: “We have created innovative advertising packages that include print, digital, video, newsletters and social media options, so we can offer our partners exciting ways to engage with the world of cycling this coming spring.”
For the Flanders Classics, CEO Tomas Van den Spiegel said: “We are delighted to partner with such a renowned publication as Peloton magazine. We love the content they produce, both in print and digital, and look very much forward to what they will make of the Official Guide for our spring classics. The culture we have around cycling in Flanders will show to be a perfect match with the readers of Peloton magazine.”
The February/March 2020 Official Flanders Classics Guide will be available in the U.S. and Belgium in February and subscribers will get the issue as part of their yearly subscription.
The issue will be available for pre-order on January 22, 2020, and will feature the same unique distribution Peloton is known for: all Barnes & Noble locations in the U.S., Delta, United and American Express airport lounges in key cities in the U.S., luxury and boutique hotel placements domestically and worldwide, and our print/digital partnership with Lufthansa Airlines and luxury hotels around the world.
