Much like the push to run RockShox at Paris-Roubaix, the “beaded comfort seat” movement has had a difficult time being accepted into the mainstream. Seen adorning taxi cabs in third-world countries (and New York City), these seat covers look like “what you’d get if you asked an abacus-maker to design a throw rug.” Proponents of the beaded comfort seats claim they feel like you are getting a magic-finger massage while driving. They were actually created to help prevent long-haul truckers and taxi drivers from developing hemorrhoids. Go for it, bead rider.

Billy Altman of Rolling Stone magazine began his 1976 review of the album with this sentence: “Those concerned with the future of hard rock may take solace in knowing that with the release of the first U.S. album by these Australian gross-out champions, the genre has unquestionably hit its all-time low.” We disagree. “High-Voltage” is the consummate AC/DC album highlighted with Bon Scot playing the bagpipes on track 1.

The McRib, introduced in 1981 with mixed results, and was pulled from the menu in 1985—despite being created by the man who invented chicken McNuggets. In 2006, McDonald’s (thankfully) decided to bring it out for a limited release every year (usually in the fall). The truth is, when and where the McRib will be released remains a mystery for fans of this pork sandwich drenched in barbecue sauce, pickles and onions. Find the McRib at: mcriblocator.com
