Salt’s playful cotton caps feature colorful designs and fun patterns. We love the bright blue Raindrop cap with small polka dot-style raindrops scattered across the top. Flip the bill up for a rainbow surprise guaranteed to garner chuckles. The caps are handmade in Colorado and are a fun accessory for everyday riding.

Salt’s medium-weight cycling caps are on the thick side and are best suited for shoulder season rides. Using a four-panel design, the caps sit evenly under most helmets for a comfortable fit.

The Boulder-based company keeps its styles fresh with limited-edition runs made to order. They come in two sizes and have an elastic hem to hold the cap snugly in place. An interior sweatband prevents stinging sweat from reaching your eyes, although it left a small imprint on our forehead after long rides.

The caps are on the expensive side, retailing for just under $50. However, they’re handmade in the U.S. from durable materials, which helps justify the price. Despite the cost, Salt’s caps add a festive and fun touch to any cycling getup and they make us smile every time we suit up for a ride.
