Shimano says the S-Phyre chamois is shock-absorbing. We don’t know about that, but it’s moderately thick and comfortable for long days in the saddle.

While the legs err on the short side, the full knit construction hugs the body comfortably and provides a compressive feel.

We like the soft, lay-flat straps and wide back panel that keeps everything in position. Don’t worry, that back panel is thin and airy enough for hot summer days.
