Just five buses? No wonder more than half of my demo day experience was spent waiting in line. It was unbelievable, and something that needs to be fixed for next year’s edition.

“When you have something of this size moving [its location], you have logistical things that you’re trying to iron out on the fly, but considering how much of a change and how much of a move we went through, the logistical challenges were pretty minimal,” said Lance Camisasca, Interbike’s show director. “The shuttle backups are more because our attendance is through the roof.”

Once there, the new venue, which is only about 350 yards west of the old venue, did prove a bit more comfortable for many of the exhibitors. The general sentiment was that the event was packed with both exhibitors and attendees; and there was a healthy vibe in the desert air and plenty of new product.
