Eddy Merckx Launches The Wallers73 and Strasbourg71
The Belgian brand rolls out more models ahead of its September relaunch

Following the announcement of the EM525 and the SanRemo76, Belgian brand Eddy Merckx continues to roll out models in new colors and builds in advance of its re-launch in September. The latest two models are designed to help you tackle the cobbles and beyond.
PELOTON
Heed the call of the cobbles in comfort with the Wallers73, named for the company namesake’s third and final Paris-Roubaix victory in 1973. It will be available in two colorways: a silvery grey reminiscent of the cobbles this bike is built to tackle and a forest green with yellow and red details.
The Strasbourg71 is designed to deliver unparalleled comfort over gravel roads and comes spec’d with Sram Rival 1 with a 46 tooth ring up front and a 10-42t cassette to get you over almost anything on your gravel adventures. Just as with the Wallers73, this bike is named for one of Merckx’s victories on a gravel finish in the 1971 Tour de France which he went on to win. Hats off to whoever chose the names for these bikes, after all there are over 500 victories to pick from.
