Pinarello launched its new bikes well before the show, the Gan and the Dogma K8-S, so it relied on two British superstars, Wiggins and Froome, to create some noise. Sir Brad’s hour record Bolide HR and Froome’s Tour winning Dogma F8 were proudly displayed in the Pinarello booth. It should be noted that, while Wiggins rode new Speedplay Zero Aero pedals to get the hour record, his bike had Dura-Ace pedals in place in the booth. It’s safe to say he would have ridden a lap or two less if he used the Dura-Ace pedals on the day.
BMC relied on new golden boy, Rohan Dennis, and his BMC Track Machine steed to create some buzz. Housed in the Swiss brand’s IMPEC Lab display, it’s a good example of the kind of products that come out of BMC’s version of a Skunk Works.
