Peloton Paddock: Custom Specialized Allez, Koroyd & Fuji

Week two of the Tour went off with a bang as a large breakaway whittled down to a star-studded selection at the line. At the #PelotonServiceCourse, week two of July is starting out cutting footage from our French adventure – look for some new video content to be delivered later this week. Custom Red Hook Crit Track-Style Specialized Allez Sprint

Hitting speeds of 35 miles per hour on dark, shadow covered streets you’ll find the growing Red Hook Crit series. This year there are four races around the world and for each one Specialized is using an unique designer to style from head to toe the two man Allez Allez Team. For the second race in the series, Colin Strickland and Aldo Ino Ilesic made a podium sandwich going first and third in London this past Saturday. From Monaco: Koroyd’s Helmet Safety Initiative

International bicycle helmet safety standards are antiquated according to the Monaco based company Koroyd, remaining unchanged over the last twenty years. Specializing in creating high performing energy absorption materials, Koroyd has launched the Helmet Safety Initiative, to educate all types of cyclists (motorcyclists too) on the risks of suffering severe head injuries and how current helmets may not be up to performance standards of the 21st century. Koroyd hopes that by bringing to light extensive research on common impact velocities during high speed accidents, that will encourage more helmet manufacturers to look into creating safer helmets. Read more about the Koroyd Helmet Safety Initiative at koroyd.com

Gravel Grinder from Fuji

With four different groupset builds being offered from Fuji (Shimano 105/Tiagra and SRAM Force/Rival 1x) the versatile Jari adds to already well stocked cyclocross, endurance and road lineups. The top build options with either SRAM Force 1x or Shimano 105 will come with hydraulic disc brakes while the the Tiagra or Rival builds will be the mechanical versions. Additional features include three water bottle mounts for longer adventures, flat mount disc brake calipers for smoother stops and a full carbon fork with internal cable routing.
