Ribble has pulled the covers off its most comprehensive gravel platform to date with the launch of two distinct families: the race-bred Ultra-Grit and the versatile All-Grit range. Developed in parallel, the two lines cater to the full spectrum of gravel riding, from full-gas race days to multi-day bikepacking epics.

These new platforms not only build on Ribble’s existing gravel pedigree but also introduce advanced frame materials, more aggressive geometry options, increased tyre clearance, and full compatibility with modern gravel gear like suspension forks, integrated storage, and the SRAM UDH standard.

What is the Ultra-Grit?

The Ribble Ultra-Grit is Ribble’s no-holds-barred gravel race platform. Engineered with Toray T1000 carbon, it boasts a sub-900g frame and aerodynamic shaping drawn from Ribble’s Ultra Road platform. It’s the fastest gravel bike Ribble says it has made, proven with podiums in the UCI Gravel World Series and fastest time at Dirty Reiver 2025.

We got a chance to take a look at the bike under Harry Tanfield at Unbound 2025.

Designed in collaboration with Ribble Outliers pros, the frame includes race-focused geometry, integrated downtube storage, RIFTT-compatible mounts for custom frame bags, and a threaded BSA bottom bracket. It also features flex stays and an asymmetric seat tube for enhanced compliance without adding weight.

Geometry on the Ultra-Grit reflects its race-first design language. Think aggressive reach figures, a steep seat angle for better power delivery, and a carefully tuned stack for long-haul comfort without sacrificing performance. The fork offers 53 mm clearance, giving room for aggressive rubber like 2.1″ tires.

It’s also one of Ribble’s most aero gravel bikes yet, with a narrowed, profiled head tube, aero tube shaping, and the option to run a 30mm travel RockShox Rudy fork, complete with the new Charger Race Day 2 damper.

And what about the All-Grit?

If the Ultra-Grit is built for finish lines, the All-Grit is made for everything else. Adventure-focused and available in four platforms — AL, TI-X, E AL, and E CARBON-X — this lineup was built with long rides, loaded touring, and real-world versatility in mind.

All-Grit bikes share 50mm (rear) / 53mm (front) tyre clearance, mounts galore, and compatibility with both 1x and 2x drivetrains. Every version is suspension fork-ready and uses SRAM UDH.

From 3D-printed titanium lugs to lightweight hydroformed alloy frames and even two electric options powered by Mahle X20/X30 systems, All-Grit gives riders options to go fast, go far, or both.

Wait, there are e-bikes, too?

Ribble is going all-in on electrified gravel. The All-Grit E AL and All-Grit E CARBON-X bring assistive power to the dirt with thoughtfully integrated systems for real-world adventuring.

The E AL uses the new Mahle X30 system with a 250W battery and torque sensor for more natural assistance. It’s based on the same hydroformed alloy frame as the non-electric All-Grit AL, with identical geometry and the same 50/53mm tyre clearance. The only key difference? It swaps in a 386 EVO bottom bracket and skips the top tube bag mount.

If you’re chasing longer rides, the All-Grit E CARBON-X steps things up with the Mahle X20 system, a 350W battery, and extended range up to 130km. It retains all the adventure mounts, aggressive geometry, and fork compatibility of the Ultra-Grit carbon frame but shifts the focus to assisted all-terrain exploration.

Despite the extra tech, both e-bikes retain full compatibility with accessories, fenders, and bags, ensuring you don’t sacrifice practicality for power.
