Nebraska’s Lauf Gravel Worlds is back on August 22–23, 2025, and this year’s edition promises to be the biggest yet. With a $100,000 prize purse on the line — the largest in single-day gravel racing — the Lincoln-based classic has elevated itself into must-race territory for the world’s top professionals. Both the men’s and women’s winners will pocket $17,500, with payouts running ten-deep.
The boost in prize money, up from $30,000 in 2024, is entirely funded by Goodlife Brands, a Nebraska-based sponsor that has supported the race since 2021. Organizers emphasize that the new payout won’t raise entry fees for amateur riders, nor diminish Gravel Worlds’ grassroots spirit. In fact, the event will also match the purse with $100,000 in donations to local charities and nonprofits.
Key riders include Simen Nordahl Svendsen and Lauren Stephens, respective men’s and women’s winners of the 2024 Lauf Gravel Worlds. However, this year’s race could see the deepest pro field in its history. With SBT GRVL moving to June, the scheduling clash that often kept European-based riders from making the trip is gone. Add in points for the Gravel Earth Series, and the world’s best are expected to line up in Lincoln. Expect to see American stalwarts like John Borstelmann defending home roads, while European-based pros — including series leader Morgan Aguirre — look to add a major U.S. gravel title to their palmarès.
We have the full preview to the race here, with men’s and women’s elite start lists below as well as info on how to watch Gravel Worlds, streamed here on Velo.
We’ll have Lauf Gravel World streaming live here on Velo, with regular updates found on the Lauf Gravel Worlds Instagram or Facebook. Goodlife Nutrition will have updates as well on Facebook and Instagram.
