May 10, 2015 – Bring out the sprinters for stage two, because it was a quick slight uphill finish that all the fast men are made for. Stage two of this year’s Giro d’Italia featured a days worth of crashes, most notably by Heinrich Haussler and Pieter Serry, who both took significant body-slams against the pavement. Unlucky day for those two, however the man that made most of his luck on the day was Elia Viviani, an Italian no less, who sprinted to victory on home soil in the closing meters of the stage.
