Nov 22, 2015 – The energy at the 6 days of Gent is astounding, the crowds, the racing, the screaming, all of the beer and booze mixed in, the race is truly above imagination. The fans truly bring such atmosphere to make this race legendary, had you been at the race like our photographer Kåre Dehlie Thorstad, you may have even bumped into Ferdi Van Den Haute lurking around too. A former winner of Gent-Wevelgem in 1978, and has one stage win from the Tour de France in 1984, a Belgian road championship to his palmares as well, but on the day just a fan of bicycle racing at the Zesdaagsegent. The presence of such excitement brings and ordinary victory to a legendary win at the race for Iljo Keisse and alongside his teammate Michael Morkov. Enjoy our gallery of the 6 days of Gent, courtesy of our photographer Kåre Dehlie Thorstad, and congratulations to the king of Gent, Iljo Keisse.
