Dahle Flesjaa wins in Val d'Isere while Pendrel takes 2012 World Cup title

The final Olympic test took place at the Val d’Isere World Cup. Gunn Rita Dahle Flesjaa (Multivan-Merida) won the French World Cup and Catharine Pendrel (Luna) won the overall World Cup title.
Dahle Flesjaa led early with American Georgia Gould (Luna) and Julie Bresset (BH-SR Suntour-Peisey Vallandry) close on her tail.
Dahle Flesjaa extended her lead throughout the race, riding into the finish alone, 46 seconds up on Bresset with Annie Last (Milka Brentjens) coming in third.
North American Olympic medal favorites Emily Batty and Georgia Gould rounded out the podium.
Catharine Pendrel (Luna) finished 9th, taking the final individual World Cup title with 1290 points. Dahle Flesjaa finished with 1048 in second and Katerina Nash (Luna) took third with 954.
Gould finished fifth in the individual World Cup standings behind Bresset.
With three women in the top-5 of the 2012 World Cup, Luna Pro Team won the team points in Val d’Isere as well as the World Cup overall.
