Easton Sports is working with the Consumer Product Safety Commission to recall about 200 carbon seatposts because the carbon top clamp of the seat post can crack.
The 2010 model year Easton EC90 Zero posts were sold as parts of complete bicycles and separately. They were distributed to dealers by Turner Suspension Bicycles, Ibis Cycles and Security Bicycle Accessories and sold between April and August this year for between $150 and $200. The affected posts are black with red and gray graphics. “EC90” is printed on the post.
Owners of the seatposts should stop using them immediately and contact an Easton Sports dealer for a free replacement top cap. For more information, contact Eason Sports toll-free at (866) 892-6059 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. CT Monday through Friday.
