Though tailored more for your townie than your trail bike, SKS’s new Stow-Away bicycle pump is still a “first-of-its-kind” tool worth mentioning.

Designed as a “get-home” pump, this little guy fits snugly into your handlebar, and simply looks like a normal bar-end plug once in place. It’s apparently capable of 90psi, is both Shrader and presta compatible, and features several rubber bumpers to keep it from rattling.

MSRP is $22-25, and it should be available at the first of 2011. Of course we asked the question that you’re probably wondering, and according to the designer, it takes about 2 1/2 minutes to reach pressures suitable for rolling home on. Not very impressive, until you realize you didn’t replace your CO cartridge from last weekend’s flat.
