UCI: Record 107 MTB Teams Register for 2010
The United States has the third highest number of UCI teams with 12, compared to the 14 Italian and 15 French squads.

A record 107 mountain bike teams have registered with the UCI for the 2010 season, up from 90 last year.
The United States has the third highest number of UCI teams with 12, compared to the 14 Italian and 15 French squads. Overall, 19 different nations are represented, including Hungary and Greece, which have registered a UCI mountain bike team for the first time. Six nations have seen the number of their teams increase: Norway, Czech Republic, Belgium, Switzerland, Austria and Holland.
The 12 U.S. teams registered include EX Drinks, Giant Factory Team, GT Bicycles, KONA, Luna Pro Team, Monster Energy-Specialized-Mad Catz, Santa Cruz Syndicate, Specialized Factory Racing, Subaru-Gary Fisher, Team Maxxis-Rocky Mountain, Whole Athlete Cycling Team, and Yeti Fox Shox Factory Race Team.
The number of cross-country Olympic teams has significantly increased, according to the UCI, with 12 new teams, as has the number of Elite and Juniors cross-country specialists. The number of downhill/four-cross teams and mixed teams is also on the rise.
