For the second consecutive year, October means pink for the women of the Cal Giant-Specialized cyclocross team. Meredith Miller and Teal Stetson-Lee are showing their support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with pink skinsuits and an online raffle that ends Friday.
Miller, who is in the Czech Republic for the opening ’cross World Cups, hosted a silent auction in Fort Collins, Colorado, last week and is promoting the raffle, which includes prizes like a Garmin Edge computer with a Strava subscription and a Specialized Pave SL wheelset. Also up for grabs is a replica pink Cal Giant jersey, which is not available for purchase.
One hundred percent of funds raised during the raffle benefit Hope Lives!, a Fort Collins-based organization that provides local breast cancer patients with complementary care and lifestyle support during treatment.
Miller and Stetson-Lee have traded in their red skinsuits for pink in October and will continue to sport the new colors through the end of the month.
Raffle tickets are available for $5 each and can be purchased on Bikereg.com.
The raffle closes at 11:59 p.m. Eastern time on Friday, October 21.
