Division One

Kerry Werner started the day by taking to the frozen course in Madison, Wisconsin and bringing home one more title for cycling powerhouse Lees-McRae College. Skyler Trujillo (Fort Lewis) surged late to pass his teammate Eric Emsky and ride to second. Emsky held on for the bronze.

Division Two

Former junior national champion Jeffrey Bahnson backed up his excellent bronze-medal U23 ride on Saturday, with a championship win Sunday in the division two men’s collegiate race. Bahnson was the sole rider for Green Mountain College, riding in a vintage pink wool jersey with “Green Mountain College” written across the back in duct tape.

Timothy Jenkinson (Mars Hill College) and Tanner Hurst (Cumberland University) battled it out for second, with South African Jenkinson’s superior technical skills finally prevailing on the rutted, frozen course that had riders bobbling all day. Hurst held on to third.
