U.S. national champion Jonathan Page has landed the sponsorship deal he’s chased for almost a year, signing with Fuji ahead of this weekend’s UCI Elite Cyclocross World Championships.
“I am so excited to be starting a new partnership with Fuji,” Page said in a press release. “Together, we are shepherding in a new era — making ’cross and Fuji one!”
Page will race in Sunday’s worlds event aboard Fuji’s Altamira CX 1.0.
“When we learned of the opportunity, we jumped on it,” said Fuji sponsorship manager Milay Galvez. “We’re thrilled and honored to have one the best cross racers in the world — one of the most accomplished American cross riders ever — riding Fuji. We can’t wait to see what he’ll do on our Altamira CX.”
The Belgium-based four-time national champion lost his longtime bike sponsor, Blue Competition Cycles, after the brand was purchased by a private equity firm that chose to discontinue the partnership.
