Downhill mountain-bike racer Kathi Krause has been handed a one-year suspension after testing positive for a metabolite of marijuana at the NORBA National Championship Series race June 22 in West Dover, Vermont, according to the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA).
The Fair Lawn, New Jersey, resident tested positive for tetrahydrocannabinol acid (THC), a substance prohibited under the rules of the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI). Krause’s suspension began on the date of the positive test, and all results that occurred on or after that date have been declared invalid.
