Former VeloNews technical editor Zack Vestal has been named Mavic’s communications and PR manager for the USA. Reporting to marketing director Sean Sullivan, Vestal will be responsible for managing Mavic Inc.’s PR, advertising and written communications for the web and print materials.
“All of us are thrilled to have someone of Zack’s caliber on our team,” said Sullivan. “Zack not only brings strong media and writing skills to the team, it’s great that he also comes from a background on the race circuit, which is a little part of everyone’s DNA around here at Mavic.”
Vestal will work from his home office in Boulder, Colorado, and travel regularly to Mavic Inc’s USA office in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and Mavic’s headquarters in Annecy, France.
Before joining Mavic, Vestal spent two years with VeloNews. Prior to joining VeloNews, he traveled extensively with the Trek-VW mountain bike team for five years, first as the mechanic and later as the manager.
Nick Legan joined VeloNews as technical editor last month.
