The pro men’s and women’s fields at the first event in the Pro Gravity Tour of 2010 were stacked with world-class talent.

On-and-off rain over the weekend of April 24-25 in Port Angeles, Washington made for a slick, fast course at the ironically named Dry Hill venue.

In the men’s event, Bryn Atkinson (Ferndale, Washington/Transition Racing) descended to the win with a time of 2:34.39 compared to the 2:35.20 posted by second place finisher Justin Leov (NZL/Trek World Racing).

In the women’s race, Tracy Moseley (GBR/Trek World Racing) clocked a 2:50.82 on the slippery course to beat out runner-up Rachel Atherton (GBR/Commencal) by three seconds.

With the first of five events on the Pro GRT now complete, Atkinson and Moseley have taken the early leads in the standings. USA Cycling’s Pro Gravity Tour will continue at Platekill Bike Park in Roxbury, NY, May 22-23.
