OK, it’s March, three months into the year, and buying a 2010 calendar might seem a bit belated.
If you’re a cyclist, well then, Cyclepassion’s calendar offering is most definitely a case of better late than never. Think Sports Illustrated’s famous swimsuit edition filled with beautiful bikini models — but better.


What could be of more, um, interest to a cyclist than a calendar filled with athlete models? Actually, make that world-class cyclist models. You’ve heard of them, maybe even seen them on a bike; now for something completely different. And yes, that is a skirt made from inner tubes that Julie Krasniak is wearing…


• Germany’s Sabine Spitz, the reigning Mountain Bike Marathon World Champ, Olympic cross-country gold medalist and fifth overall on the World Cup in 2009.
• Norway’s Lene Byberg, silver medalist in cross-country at the 2009 MTB Worlds in Canberra, Australia, winner of the XC at the 2009 World Cup stop in Bromont, Canada and fourth in the World Cup overall last season.
• Julie Krasniak of France, a top-50 World Cup cross-country racer.
