Boulder Valley Velodrome toppled by afternoon storm — Daily Camera

Heavy rains and high winds on Saturday flattened the Boulder Valley Velodrome outside Erie, Colo.

The outdoor, 250-meter track, which was still under construction and expected to open later this summer, was left a wreck in the middle of a flooded field.

“It’s just devastation,” said construction foreman Mikel Reid.

The velodrome project will continue, he added.
