Tadej Pogačar set his own take on an “out of office” email this weekend.
Images circulating on social media show the Slovenian megastar wearing a jersey laden with “Do not disturb” and “No photography” motifs.
Pogačar’s garish white and pink apparel is as clear a signpost as you can get.
Even cycling’s perma-grinning meme-lord needs a break from all the selfies and signatures while he digs himself out of post-Tour de France fatigue.

The photos taken last weekend show Pogačar enjoying a mid-ride coffee with his partner, Urška Žigart.
His choice of apparel is both a surprise and not.
Pogačar was beset by a sense of boredom and then burnout last month while he closed down on his fourth Tour de France title.
He went on to describe the race as “one of the hardest I’ve ridden,” and got all existential with reflections on retirement.
The 26-year-old simultaneously abandoned his plans to race the Vuelta a España with UAE Emirates-XRG in favor of a lighter program in advance of his title defense at the Kigali road worlds.
Pogačar even forwent the easy paychecks of the highly lucrative post-Tour de France criterium circuit. He took one dash around his home event in Komenda and went home.
No escaping the spotlight for Pogačar
Yet fanfare and media frenzy are part of the package for Pogačar.
He is the highest-paid, most wildly successful rider in the sport, after all.
Cycling’s modern GOAT made headlines last weekend simply by being at the Tour de Romandie Féminin to support Žigart.
Images of him consoling his partner after she lost her grip on GC victory in the final phase of the three-day tour went viral.

Of course, the photo of Pogačar wearing a “do not disturb” directive is ironic in itself.
Heck, knowing Pogi, the whole thing could be a prank.
Closing down on Canada, road worlds

Pogačar won’t be keeping it low-key much longer.
His redesigned roadmap toward road worlds will kick-start at the turn of this month. He will cross the Atlantic for the Canadian GPs in early September. A flight to Kigali follows soon after the Québec-Montréal double-header.
Pogačar certainly won’t be hiding from the headlines when he’s got the chance to pad his already historic palmarés.
