2015 Velo Awards: Motos are hazards of the year
Motos were the greatest hazards of the 2015 season after taking out numerous prominent riders, such as Peter Sagan and Greg Van Avermaet.

With their performance at the Tour of Flanders, where they took out Jesse Sergent (Trek Factory Racing) and Sébastian Chavanel (FDJ), neutral-service cars put up a good fight this year.
But we have to give the edge to motos, which were involved in several high-profile accidents in 2015. There was Greg Van Avermaet (BMC Racing) getting knocked out of what looked to be a winning attack at Clásica San Sebastián, Jakob Fuglsang (Astana) hitting the tarmac after a moto took him out of the break in stage 18 at the Tour de France, and both Peter Sagan and Sergio Paulinho (both Tinkoff-Saxo) having to withdraw from the Vuelta after separate incidents with motos.
