Robert Förster won his second stage in a row at the Nature Valley Grand Prix Friday night, padding to his overall lead in the six-stage race. Förster (UnitedHealthcare) came out of the final corner on the front of the race and kicked along the left barriers for the win in the Uptown Minneapolis Criterium.
Förster’s teammate Jake Keough came off his wheel out of the last corner and opened his sprint on the right side of the road. The stage 2 winner fought to come back on terms with the German, but settled for second. Keough edged left in the final 15 meters, closing the door on Jelly Belly-Kenda’s Ken Hanson, who came through for third.
