Cervelo TestTeam’s Heinrich Haussler will make his comeback to racing, following a leg injury, at the Amgen Tour of California next month, the team announced Thursday.
Haussler injured his quadriceps tendon this spring.
“I’ve felt well the entire week and have had no pain on the bike. I’m happy and looking confidently into the future where races will soon be back on my schedule,” said Heinrich Haussler.
The team said Haussler’s recovery plan, after resting at home. will include a high altitude training camp in Colorado from April 16 to May 13. Then, if the medical team gives the green light, Haussler will make his racing comeback at California (May 16 to 23), then use the Tour de Swiss (June 12 to 20) to complete preparations for this year’s Tour de France edition.
