World champion Thor Hushovd (Garmin-Cervelo) won the fourth stage of the Tour of Britain on Wednesday, edging out his rivals on the 184-kilometer ride from Welshpool to Caerphilly.
Hushovd took the stage honors at the head of a group of around 25 riders which broke away in the climax to the race.
Lars Boom of the Netherlands, who finished second, retained the leader’s jersey.
