Four Colombian cyclists, one track athlete test positive — ElTiempo.com
According to ElTiempo.com, four Colombian riders tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs at the Clásico RCN-Claro in 2013. According to the report, Ómar Puentes (Elegant House), Jorge Martínez (Supergiros), and Diego Quintero (GW Shimano) submitted samples positive for EPO. Jahír Pérez (Ebsa) tested positive for the steroid betamethasone.
Camilo Gómez (Coldeportes-Claro) won the Clásico RCN in October and Oscar Sevilla (EPM-UNE) won a stage.
“The issue will be handled by the disciplinary tribunal of the cycling federation within 15 days and the penalties will be known,” Colombian cycling federation chief Jorge Ovidio González said.
