Marcel Kittel (Project 1t4i) got it right in the second stage at the Etoile de Besseges in France.

A day after getting pipped at the line, the big German sprinter ace got it right in the weather-shortened stage to Saint-Ambroix. Due to wind and cold, the stage was reduced to 58km.

Kittel out-kicked Kris Boeckmans (Vacansoleil-DCM) to win for the first time of the season, with yesterday’s winner, Nacer Bouhanni (FDJ-BigMat), crossing the line third.

With the win, Kittel also takes the leaders jersey in the five-day race.
