Orica – BikeExchange will be known as Orica – Scott in 2017, as the team’s longtime bicycle sponsor, Scott, will boost its support of the Australian WorldTour team in the coming year.

Previously known as Orica – GreenEdge, the team had a brief stint with BikeExchange taking co-sponsor naming rights for the latter part of 2017. The sponsor change will also apply to the Women’s WorldTour team, formerly known as Orica – AIS.

“We are thrilled to have Scott step up into a major, co-naming rights sponsor for our team,” said team general manager Shayne Bannan. “Their progression as a sponsor follows ours as a team and together we believe the partnership will achieve great things in the coming years.”

The team earned a number of top results in 2016. Most recently, Esteban Chaves won Il Lombardia, the final monument race of the season. Veteran Australian rider Mathew Hayman also won a monument, the cobbled Paris-Roubaix classic in April. All totaled, Orica riders won 29 major races this past season.

In addition to the sponsor change announcement, the team also revealed its new 2017 kit on Monday.
