The Amgen Tour of California on Monday announced that it would host an elite women’s time trial in conjunction with its stage 6 TT in San Jose on May 17. The third annual women’s event will feature 15 riders and will take place prior to the start of the men’s stage.

Among the women scheduled to compete are U.S. time trial champion Evelyn Stevens (Specialized-lululemon), former world TT champion Amber Neben (Pasta Zara), cyclocross worlds silver medalist Katie Compton (Trek Cyclocross Collective), and Olympic triathlete Julie Dibens.
