Jan Ullrich – fresh off riding most of the 89th Giro d’Italia – will race the Tour de Suisse later this month as part of his preparations ahead of the Tour de France. Ullrich, who abandoned during the 19th stage at the Giro, was considering racing the hilly Vuelta a Asturias in northern Spain, but opted for the Swiss tour (June 10-18) because it’s four days longer and features harder climbs than the Spanish race.
