Driver kills one, injures two in Georgia group ride, DUI suspected

A University of Georgia graduate student, Ashley Block, 25, was killed by a driver while participating in a group ride near Athens, Georgia Monday.

Online Athens reports that a University of Georgia graduate student, Ashley Block, 25, was killed by a driver while participating in a group ride near Athens, Georgia Monday. Two other local cyclists, Roger Molloy and Mitchell Enfinger were injured.

The driver, Whitney Baker Howard, 31, was charged with first-degree homicide by vehicle, driving under the influence of drugs, endangering a child by driving while intoxicated, failure to maintain lane, and improper use of a mobile phone while driving. Online Athens reports that a toddler was in the SUV she was driving.
