Peter Sagan isn’t a man that’s averse to shedding the skinny tires and throwing on a chunky set of rubber now and again. After first making a name for himself as a junior XC World Champion, he’s since lined up at the Olympics on a mountain bike; this year, he raced the e-MTB Worlds (he finished 16th) and dabbled with gravel at Unbound Gravel. And to round his season out, he lined up for the inaugural UCI Gravel World Championships.
We caught up with him prior to the race to chat – not so much about his chances, but about his thoughts around the new discipline that’s now been snapped up by the UCI and wrapped in a rainbow band.
Other topics in the video are pretty far-ranging, from noodles to planetary bodies. Please enjoy.
