Officina Battaglin
Officina Battaglin was founded more than 40 years ago and is renowned for their unique frames and stunning paintjobs. While the top- and down tube on the new “Cortina” frame are made from Titanium, the rear stays, head tube and seat tube are carbon. The lugs are 3D printed titanium. The Officina Battaglin team says that the properties of titanium can be changed when it’s welded, so this frame is bonded to make sure the properties are not changed. All Cortina frames will come with a T47 bottom bracket and 50 – 55 mm tire clearance.

Ornus

Ornus is a Tuscany-based company that makes frames from Slovenian and Italian wood. The front triangle is made from two halves (CNC machined inhouse) which are bonded together. The seat stays and chain stays are machined from solid wood and contrary to the front triangle, they are not hollow. Ornus also uses a patented technology to increase the surface area that is critical for the bonding process.
This bike is a race-oriented gravel bike with a rather aggressive geometry, short chain stays and integrated cable routing. Ornus also offers a different frame with a more relaxed geometry.
According to the Ornus team, the frame weighs just 1.7 kg (without the fork) and has a lifetime warranty. The frame will cost 4500 Euro, full bikes start at 7900 Euro.

Passoni

The Vinci frame is made from titanium and carbon tubes, but the carbon tubes have a special feature: Passoni has included thin Ti filaments in the carbon – as thin as a hair – in order to create a smoother ride feel.
All frames are made to measure in their workshop in Milano, where they make around 300 frames each year. Passoni is proud to have workers that have been with them for decades. One of their welders, who also did the Ti welding on this frame, started at Passoni when he was 15 years old. 33 years later, he still works for the company.
