HASSELT, Belgium (VN) — Former world champion Niels Albert (BKCP-Powerplus) sits seventh in the world UCI cyclocross standings, but is still looking for his first major win two months into the season.

Albert rides a Stevens carbon Team DA bike outfitted with a Shimano Dura-Ace Di2 group and TRP CR 950 brakes.

The conditions for the GP van Hasselt stop on the GVA Trofee series were dry and warm, with temperatures in the 50s Fahrenheit. Organizers pumped thousands of liters of water out of the Park Kopermolen earlier this week to dry the grounds.

With a mostly firm track, like most Dugast-outfitted riders, Albert chose Dugast Rhino 30 tires for a mix of traction and speed.
