If you’ve got a hot-weather ride coming up, the ES jersey offers a low-profile collar and a knitting Velocio calls “denier gradient” that it says will keep you cool by acting like a radiator — pulling heat away from your body.

We like this jersey because it’s soft, snug-fitting without constricting, and it stays in place no matter how much you move during hard efforts. Even when we loaded down the rear pockets, the jersey stayed in place and didn’t tug around the collar.

This Italian-made jersey has no sleeve grippers to avoid tugging on your biceps, but keeps the waist secure with silicone all the way around. It’s a comfortable system, but if you’re used to longer sleeves that stay firmly in place with no creeping, you might be disappointed. The sleeves can work their way up just slightly, though it wasn’t bothersome for us.

Three standard back pockets and a zippered water-resistant pocket, along with reflective logos and trim, top off this snug race-cut jersey. The aesthetic errs on the side of conservative, but it’s not bland either, with subtle patterns and understated orange highlights. It’s a good one for the group ride plus a quick stop at the coffee shop.
